What happens to your information when you give an agency like You First your details?

We’ve all seen the ads that say auto insurance in Texas for $29 a month. And of course we ALL want insurance for cheap! So we click, enter all of our info, wait to see that $29 quote, but while we wait to see it the phone starts ringing, emails start rolling in, and the text notifications just won’t quit. It doesn’t stop for days and sometimes even weeks! And boy, is it overwhelming.
Why am I making you relive your most anxious or annoying insurance story? Because we want you to know it doesn’t have to be that way to get quotes from 10+ carriers.
These ads are for insurance lead companies, not agencies. They get your information and sell it to anyone willing to buy it (verified to be in the industry of course).
When you work with local independent agents and agencies, you have someone making the calls for you. Independent agents are contracted to work with an unlimited amount of companies to find the right fit and price for you. AND your information is protected by law.
By the way, I haven’t seen an auto quote in Texas for $29 in a very long time, but I’d love to see how close I can get yours!
